Luke 18:40-43
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
ref. - Heb 2:17 - Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
Lk 17:19 - And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Isa 35:5 - Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Ps 103:1 - Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
What a wonderful God we serve! He sent his only Son to do a work in us that is so great it cannot be duplicated by anyone! All we need to do is just believe! There are many who believe for a moment, receive what they are looking for, and then walk away from God. And, although this happens way too much, even once is way too much, we must know that this is not God's will. It reminds us of the ten lepers who were healed and only one returned to glorify God. He was the one that was documented, taught about, and received favor of the Lord. His healing was complete when he became thankful and obedient to what he was told to do. All of these great promises are available to us if we can just let Christ finish what God starts in us. Our healing, now first Spiritual then physical, is not complete until we allow him to complete it. It is just the beginning of greatness. Sure, we could receive healing and go on our way, but this also is not God's will. God's will is that we glorify his name and let people know who performed this great miracle in us! In this story we read of a physical healing because that was what they were experiencing at that time, Serving God was a physical act and it was not in their hearts so they needed to see something that would surely convince them that God is merciful and all powerful. After Christ came though, the physical healing was overshadowed by the Spiritual healing. Yes, physical healing is still available today, and many people are experiencing it every day. But in order to remain and become obedient to God's wishes after we have received the healing we need a change of heart. We need to be first Spiritually healed so that we can understand where the healing came from and why. This, also, only takes believing in Jesus Christ and the power that is in his hands! So, today, let the miracle be a testimony of salvation and a transformation of our hearts and minds. Let us live to be Spiritually while in Christ and let us live for him. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!!!! Have a great day!!!!
