Daily Bread 4-22-17
Acts 22:22
And they gave him audience unto this word, and then lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.
ref. - Ac 21:36 - For the multitude of the people followed after, crying, Away with him.
Ac 25:24 - And Festus said King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
No matter what, in your life, if you stand for something that requires other people to change, you will face opposition. Even if you came from their ground and are a living testimony of what God can do, many will try to deny what God has put in order. The Apostle Paul was condemned by the people of the world and the people of the synagogue for only bringing a gospel that supported all of their prophecy. It gave all people hope and a way to please God but they still wouldn't latch on to it. What made them fight so hard against it? It required them to change. Even though Paul told them that he had to start fresh and allow God to make the change in him, the people counted it as blasphemy and would not have it. The toughest ones? The ones in the Church. They had vowed not to kill as in obedience to the commandments but when a gospel came in where they would allow God to change them inside, they wanted to do away with the messenger. As if God would not put another right back in Paul's place if he were defeated. But this is not God's plan to see us defeated, it is to see us triumphant! As we can read, they were not successful as Paul went through court after court and God provided him with the proper defense so as not to be put to death. This proving that the Holy Ghost will put in our mouths the answers in the same hour in which they are needed. Today, Brothers, this should be a word of encouragement. No matter how hard the enemy tries, from without or within the Church, to destroy what God has put in order, they will not succeed. If you are trying to cling to what Christ brought you it is highly encouraged that you just hold on and allow God to complete your battles for you. He is a rewarder of they who seek him diligently. If you look in this scripture it didn't say that a few people were upset, it said a multitude. Once they think they have something on you, they will try to attack, but they are fighting against something much more strong that flesh and blood. They are fighting against a child of God nd the Holy Spirit. He will avenge our adversaries Brothers! So don't be afraid and don't be discouraged if you find yourself up against a wall seemingly trapped by the acts of the non-believers. Just hold strong and before you know it, just as the angel set Peter free from the prison, God will also give you a way to escape their clutches as well. Praise God, have faith in God, in Jesus' name let everything be done decently and in order!! Have a great day!!!
